Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) continue with domestic cricket activities in the country with Men’s domestic tournaments (T10 Bash and T20 Super series), with the national squad players getting much required game-time ahead of the International tournaments in 2023, which also includes the inaugural edition of Malaysia T20 League (franchise-based) in the month of June. The Men’s T10 Bash tournament will take place from February 02nd – 06th, while the T20 Super series taking place thereafter from February 08th – 16th, 2023, with four select teams (Southern Hitters, Thunderstorm Outlanders, UKM-KPT and Northern Strikers) competing for both the titles.
The domestic competitions will begin the new season, with the National men’s squad having finished the year on a positive note during the T20I quadrangular series at home in December 2022, where they lost in the Final against Bahrain. National squad member Virandeep Singh has since played competitive cricket during the inaugural edition of Nepal T20 League in December/January.
