KNCB (Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond) have announced an extender Pro Series tournament for 2020, after the proposed tours by Denmark and Scotland in Aug 2020 have now been cancelled. The Pro Series will be contested between the Hurricanes and Seafarers, whose squads will consist of players from Dutch summer and academy squads announced by the national coaching staff.
Hurricanes and Seafarers will meet in a series of three 50-overs matches and five T20 matches from Aug 11th – 25th, 2020 across venues in Amstelveen, Voorburg, Schiedam and Amsterdam. All the selected players in the first two 50-overs and the first T20 matches have been announced and features lot of young talent, who have impressed the coaching staff in the TopKlasse domestic competition so far.

Most of the players selected in the squads for the matches in the first week of the Pro Series played against each other in two 50-overs games organized between Dutch U23s and Dutch U18s in the previous week. The likes of Vikram Singh, Clayton Floyd, Vivian Kingma, Kertan Nana, Pierre Jacod, Shariz Ahmed, Sebastiaan Braat, Jelte van Troost, Tonny Staal and Bas de Leede will be the ones the coaching staff will keep an keen eye on as most of them will be pushing for senior team opportunities in the near future.
KNCB have also announced that the German national squad will be visiting them for a short tour comprising of three T20 matches against Dutch select XI squad, and the players in the Pro Series will be determined to impress the selectors to get picked up for the matches on Sep 01st, 02nd and 03rd.
