Cricket Federation of Romania will be hosting the Men’s National teams of Turkiye, Austria, Isle of Man, Guernsey, Greece, Czechia and Norway in the Women’s Continental Cup tournament from August 26th – 30th, 2026, at the Moara Vlasiei cricket ground ovals in Bucharest. This edition will the fourth (4th) overall for the Women’s Continental Cup, with Norway Women being the Defending Champions from the previous edition held last year. With eight (8) teams participating this year, it becomes the highest number of entries recorded in all the editions held to this date.
The teams have been divided into two (2) groups of four (4) each, and the tournament will follow a single round-robin group stage format, following which, the top team in both the groups will compete in the Final, along with the runners-up from both the groups competing in the 3rd/4th Play-off game.
This year’s edition will be hosted by the European Cricket Association (ECA), established in 2024 during the ICC Annual General Meeting in Colombo. The ECA now comprises fifteen (15) Associate Cricket Boards from across the European region as its members. The founding Cricket Boards in the ECA are France Cricket, Romania, Malta, Jersey, Austria and Italy. ECA functions as a continental coordination body, providing a formal framework for cooperation between its member federations in matters relating to governance, competitions, development and strategic growth.
