Emirates Cricket Board announce Emirates D10 tournament in Jul 2020

Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) in partnership with ITW Consulting, have launched the inaugural Emirates D10 tournament, which will mark the resumption of domestic cricket in UAE from Jul 24th – Aug 07th, 2020. The tournament will see 6 teams participating with the top five domestic teams from regional councils (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ajman) and ECB Blues, which will be organized by Emirates Cricket.

The tournament will feature 34 matches in total, with each team playing each other in a double round-robin group stage format, followed by the play-off stages. D10 tournament will be live-streamed on Fancode in the Indian Subcontinent (excluding Pakistan), Etisalat CricLife and SportsEye Youtube channel in UAE, Willow Digital in the USA and Canada, and SportsEye YouTube channel for the rest of the world and the GCC

The teams formed by ECB will comprise of both the senior national squad members and the junior squad members. The tournament will pave the way forward as ECB plan ahead to host their annual domestic 20-over and 50-over tournaments. All the matches will be played across ICC Academy grounds and Dubai International Stadium (Final round of group stage matches and the knock-out stages). The tournament will provide a great opportunity for the UAE U19 players, who represented the country in the 2020 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup held in South Africa.
