Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), in partnership with ITW Consulting and Dream 11, have announced that the 3rd edition of D20 tournament will be held from December 12th – 28th, 2022 at Dubai cricket stadium. Similarly to the previously held editions in June 2020 and 2022, Six teams will compete in the 33-matches tournament, which will see all the teams play each other in a double round-robin group stage format, followed by the knock-out stages.
Teams representing the regional councils of Ajman, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah will be joined by the ‘Emirates Blues’ team, which is formed by Emirates Cricket Board and comprises of player both in senior and junior age-group categories. The tournament comes at the right time for the twenty-four (24) chosen UAE players for the upcoming International League T20 (ILT20) in Dubai during January/February 2023, as they will get to showcase their skills to the franchise coaching set-ups for opportunities in the playing XI during the ILT20 matches.
