In a rare opportunity to showcase growth of Cricket in the Eastern Asian region, 4 countries will battle it out in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Eastern region Twenty20 tournament in Thailand from Feb 19th – 26th, 2018.
Host’s Thailand will compete against teams from Bhutan, China & Myanmar in the T20 tournament. Teams have been involved in few practice matches in the past week to get used to the conditions in Thailand ahead of the main draw. All the matches will be played at Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok, Thailand.
The tournament marks the start of the 2018 calendar for Asian Cricket Council with the Western region T20 tournament scheduled to be held in the later part of the year. In the warm-up matches, Thailand managed to put in across Bhutan in a thriller match that went down to the wire in the final over of the 2nd innings, while Bhutan staged a victory of their own against Myanmar in the next practice game.
