Garamuts head to Japan as favourites in EAP U19 Division1 qualifiers

Papua New Guinea Garamuts (U19) will look to emulate the recent success ratio achieved by the senior men’s and women’s teams from the pacific islands nation, as the 14-member squad heads to Japan to take part in the ICC U19 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Division 1 qualifiers from 02nd – 09th Jun, 2019.

U19 team’s from Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Fiji and Samoa, along with the host’s will be competing in a single round-robin group stage format for one qualification spot from the EAP region into the main draw of 2020 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup, to be held in South Africa. The U19 team prepped up with a practice match against Cricket PNG Academy team.
