Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries (not yet decided) will host the 8-nation U19 Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Western regional qualifiers in Feb 2019.

U19 team’s from UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Maldives will take part in the tournament, which will be played in the 50-overs format. The winner of the qualifiers will join the main draw of both 2019 and 2020 editions of ACC U19 Asia Cup to be held in Sri Lanka and UAE respectively.

The tournament will also provide crucial preparation for U19 team’s of Kuwait, Oman and UAE, who will also be part of ICC U19 World Cup Asia Division 1 qualifiers, to be hosted by Malaysia in Apr 2019. The schedule for U19 CWC Asia Division 1 has been announced by Malaysian Cricket Association.
