Montreal Tigers left everything too late even after their win over CWI “B” Team in Round 2 of Global T20 Canada, as Winnipeg Hawks clinched 3rd place over Edmonton Royals, who finished fourth ahead of Montreal Tigers on points.

Toronto Nationals have much to think about when the next edition comes back in 2019, as a disappointing last place finish in the standings didn’t go according to their plans definitely at the start of the tournament.

Vancouver Knights take on CWI “B” Team in the first Qualifier while Edmonton Royals & Winnipeg Hawks play twice against each other in two days, but this time it’ll be a knock-out eliminator.

The bigger names in the squads will look to contribute heavily at the business end of the tournament and guide their team’s to wins. Hong Kong’s Babar Hayat and Canada’s Saad bin Zafar will also be key to Vancouver’s plans against CWI “B”.

UAE’s Shaiman Anwar is slowly coming into his own in the last few games and one to watch out for in the eliminator game. Similarly, Canada’s Cecil Pervez will bring all his experience into play for Winnipeg and the eliminator looks set for a thriller contest.
