The organizers of Global T20 Canada have announced the preliminary list of broadcasters for the league worldwide and covers all the major regions across the globe. The tournament, officially sanctioned by International Cricket Council (ICC), will be held from Jul 25th – Aug 11th, 2019 at CAA Centre ground in Brampton. A total of 22 matches, including playoffs and the final will be played in the 2nd edition of the franchise-based T20 league.
Vacouver Kights, Toronto Natioals, Edmonton Royals, Winnipeg Hawks and Montreal Tigers will be joined by Brampton Wolves (replacing West Indies “B” from the inaugural edition in 2018) in the 2nd edition of the franchise-based T20 league in Canada. As per the playing XI rules for the 2nd edition, each team will field five full member players (inclusive of marquee players), two Canada players, one ICC Americas region member player and three ICC Associate member players. The broadcast partners for other global regions are not announced as of now. As per 2018’s brodcast structure, there were arrangements made with Fox Sports (Australia), Free Sports (UK), Willow TV (USA), OSN (MENA region), GEO TV (Pakistan) and Gazi TV (Bangladesh). The tournament will also be available on digital broadcast/Live streaming on Hotstar (India and North American regions).
GT20 Canada’s YouTube channel can also be viewed for streaming updates for the tournament. The official App for GT20 Canada is also available for download from play stores (Android/IOS).
