Guernsey to face Netherlands “A” in T20 series before hosting Europe Qualifiers

After a successful trip to the Channel Islands nation last year, Netherlands “A” are set to visit Guernsey in 2019 as well as they take on their host’s in a 4-match T20 series from Jun 04th – 07th, 2019.

Netherlands head coach Ryan Campbell will have the opportunity to try out the bench strength for the senior side hopefuls before their much anticipated home series against the visiting Zimbabwe national squad. The T20 matches will further provide Guernsey the preparatory game-time after the conclusion of 3-match T20I Inter-Insular Cup against CI neighbours Jersey, as they head towards hosting the ICC Europe Regional Final Qualifiers for 2020 Men’s T20 World Cup.

Dutch national squad captain Pieter Seelaar has also been named in the “A” squad, which he led as his first captaincy assignment in 2018 to Guernsey. Netherlands “A” have a busy period of scheduling as they played a 40-overs and two T20 matches against Belgium few weeks back, and will be playing against both Germany and Italy in the T20 format on 25th Jul as well at home.
