Historic moment for Afghanistan as Mujeeb’s 6-for sinks Pakistan U-19 in ACC U-19 Asia Cup

Mujeeb Zadran’s fiery spell of 6/23 off 10 overs sank Pakistan U-19 to a low total of only 57 runs in 20 overs in their opening match against Afghanistan U-19 in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.

Only three Pakistan players crossed double figures as Naveen-ul-Haq (2/21) started the rout at the top not the order and Yousof Zazai (2/13) helped in picking few middle order wickets.

Mujeeb’s haul of 3 wickets in the 18th over completed an embarrassing batting display by Pakistan U-19.

Afghanistan U-19 lost 3 wickets in the chase with their batsmen trying to finish the work quickly. However, after the 3 wickets fell, Nisarul Wahdat (25 n.o off 18) and a solitary six from Darwish Rasooli sealed the victory for the U-19 boys as they reached 62/3 in only 9.1 overs to cap a great historic achievement for the country.
