Hong Kong announce squad for ACC U19 Asia Cup in Bangladesh

Cricket Hong Kong (CHK) have announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council U19 Asia Cup in Bangladesh from 29th Sep – 07th Oct, 2018.

Tournament matches will be played at Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar. The tournament, which will be played in 50-overs format, will see 8 countries (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Nepal & UAE) compete in the tournament.

U19 team’s of Afghanistan, India, Nepal and UAE will be placed in Group A, while U19 team’s of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Hong Kong are placed in the other Group B. Group A teams will be based in Cox’s Bazar with matches to be played at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium’s (SKICS) main ground and Academy’s ground while Group B teams to be based at Chittagong with matches to be played at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS) and M.A Aziz Stadium.

Top 2 teams from each group after the completion of group phase matches will advance to the semi-finals. Afghanistan U19 come into the tournament as Defending Champions from the 2017 edition held in Malaysia.

Hong Kong Schedule:

29th Sep 2018: vs Pakistan U19 @M.A Aziz

30th Sep 2018: vs Sri Lanka U19 @ZACS

02nd Oct 2018: vs Bangladesh U19 @ZACS

If Hong Kong manage to qualify for the semi-final stage of the tournament, then they will play the following matches on the date as per their standing in the group upon completion of the round-robin league phase.

04th Oct 2018: Semi-Final #1 (A1 vs B2) @ZACS

05th Oct 2018: Semi-Final #2 (A2 vs B1) @ZACS

07th Oct 2018: Final @ZACS
