Group leaders maintain lead on 2nd day of action in Houston Open T20

The Group leaders in the points table in the four groups have started to put themselves in a comfortable position to advance to the quarter-finals stage of Houston Open T20 tournament at the end of action on the 2nd day of the competition, being played at Prairie View cricket complex in Texas.

Several USA national squad players put up their hand on the 2nd day for their respective franchises and produced match-winning performances to win the group stage matches. The likes of Monank Patel, Timil Patel and Elmore Hutchinson played leading roles for their team’s, while International stars in Rahkeem Cornwall, Basant Regmi, Rohan Mustafa, Sami Aslam and Trevon Griffith contributed majorly for their team’s overall performance in the group stage matches.

All the matches are being played simultaneously at the six ovals at the Prairie View cricket complex (PVCC), which has announced a joint-venture partnership with USA Cricket, which will see the six-field facility become a top cricket training and playing facility. Major League Cricket (MLC) and PVCC have been collaborating on the development of the facility over the past year, which recently saw the facility host USA Cricket Men’s Under 19 National Championships.
