Men’s teams from Italy, Germany and Denmark were awarded the spots in the European qualifiers after the cancellation of the three (3) sub-regional qualifiers in 2021, where they will compete along with Jersey for two qualification spots into the Global qualifiers. Desert Springs Resort, which was recently given ICC accreditation to host ODI and T20I matches, will be hosting the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe qualifiers from 15th – 21st October, 2021.
Jersey, Germany, Denmark and Italy will have two practice days at the Desert Springs facilities, before facing each other in a double round-robin group stage format to determine the two teams, who will advance to the Global qualifiers. Germany Men’s squad played a three (3) match T20I series at Desert Springs with Spain in September 2021, while Denmark squad had a preparation camp at the same facility few days later. Jersey also played a couple of practice T20 matches with Austria team at Desert Springs facility on 12th October 2021 to cap off their preparations before the main event.
