Cricket Namibia to host Nigeria and Hong Kong-China for T20I/OD series in June 2026

Cricket Namibia (CN) will be hosting the Men’s National Teams of Nigeria and Hong Kong, China for a T20 International Tri-series tournament (with ICC T20I team ranking points) from June 18th – 23rd, 2026 at the FNB Namibia Cricket ground in Windhoek. The One-day series between Namibia and Hong Kong, China will be played before the start of the T20I series and the One-day series between Namibia and Nigeria, after the completion of the T20I Tri-series.

This will be the maiden tour for both Nigeria and Hong Kong, China to Namibia for an International series, while Namibia and Hong Kong, China will be meeting each other for the very first time in T20Is. The One-day matches will be crucial for Hong Kong-China, ahead of the final round of their group in the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Challenge League tournament this year.

Rwanda Cricket to host 12th edition of Kwibuka Memorial tournament in June 2026

Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA) will be hosting the twelfth (12th) edition of Kwibuka Memorial Women’s T20 tournament (Kwibuka T20) from June 10th – 20th, 2026 at Gahanga International Cricket Stadium and Gahanga Cricket Stadium Oval B in Kigali. The tournament, whose inaugural edition took place in 2014, played in remembrance of the victims of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. In all, twelve (12) African nations and a country each from European region (Germany) and South American region (Brazil) have taken part in the editions held between 2014-2025. The 2026 edition will see three (3) African Associate member nations compete for the title, with Brazil Women’s team making their third (3rd) appearance in the iconic event, along with Zimbabwe HPC squad (making their 2nd appearance in the event).

The Women’s National teams of Rwanda, Nigeria, Malawi and Brazil will be competing this year in a double round-robin group stage format, following which the top Two (2) teams will qualify for the Final. Kenya Women have won the Kwibuka Memorial tournament four (4) times, followed by Uganda (3 times), Tanzania (3 times) and host’s Rwanda (once). However, last year’s Winner, Tanzania Women, wouldn’t be participating in this year’s edition.

Eswatini Cricket to host Men’s T20I Tri-series in June 2026

Eswatini Cricket Association (ECA) will be hosting the Men’s National teams of Mozambique and Lesotho for a T20 International Tri-series tournament (with ICC T20I team ranking points) from June 02nd – 08th, 2026 at the Malkerns Country club cricket ground in Manzini, for the ECA Ubuntu Tri-nation Cup. The series will see the first ever meeting in T20Is between the teams of Lesotho and Mozambique, with the triple round-robin group stage format to decide the top two (2) teams, who will meet in the FINAL on 08th June 2026.

ECA have previously hosted Mozambique Men’s team in bi-lateral series in 2022 and 2025, while Lesotho Men were on tour to Eswatini in 2024 for a bi-lateral series.

Kalahari Women’s T20I Tournament in Botswana in April 2026

Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) will be hosting the third (3rd) edition of the Kalahari Women’s T20I tournament from April 06th – 11th, 2026 at the Botswana Cricket Association Oval 1 and Oval 2 grounds in Gaborone. The tournament is getting bigger in scale this year, with six (6) Nations having confirmed their participation, that does not include the Defending Champions from Sierra Leone, who won against the host’s in the Final of the previous edition held last year.

BCA will be hosting the Women’s National teams of Malawi, Zambia, Lesotho, Mozambique, and Brazil in the six (6)-team tournament, with all teams set to play against each other in a single round-robin group stage format, followed by the Final between the top two (2) teams in the points table. For Brazil Women, who have travelled to Kigali, Rwanda for two (2) editions of the Kwibuka Memorial Women’s Tournament previously, make their first-ever apperance in a tournament hosted by another ICC Africa Associate member. They are also scheduled to take part in this year’s Kwibuka Memorial event as well in Rwanda.

Uganda’s Easter Women’s T20 Cup sets Stage for USA’s ICC Challenge Trophy Preparations

Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) will be hosting the Women’s National team of United States of America (USA) for the Easter Women’s T20 Cup from 09th to 15th April, 2026 at Entebbe Cricket Oval. The tournament will feature both the senior squad and “A” squad for Uganda, with the event serving as a development initiative for all the teams. Team Nepal, who were initially advertised to be also taking part, is no longer participating, based on the updated schedule announced by Uganda Cricket.

The series is crucial for USA, who will travel to Kigali in Rwanda after the conclusion of this event, to take part in the inaugural edition of ICC Women’s Challenge Trophy from April 18th – May 02nd, 2026. All the matches will not carry official ICC T20I team ranking points, as Uganda Cricket is using this opportunity to develop their bench strength, for future senior team call-up, and USA team is using this tournament to get used to African conditions.

Nigeria Cricket to host 5th edition of Women’s Invitational Tournament in March 2026

Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) will be hosting the 5th edition of the NCF Women’s Invitational tournament from March 20th – 30th, 2026 at the TBS oval in Lagos in T20 International format (with ICC team ranking points). NCF will host the National teams from Rwanda and Ghana in the tournament, along with U19 National teams from South Africa and Zimbabwe, which has been previously won by the host’s on two (2) occasions in 2019 and 2023, while Rwanda team secured the title in 2022. Tanzania, who have previously participated in this event, and has won the trophy in 2024, will not be taking part this time around.

The tournament will be known as the Patricia Kambarami Cup, in memory of the Regional Manager at ICC Development – Africa, after she passed away in 2024.

Botswana Cricket to host Lesotho Men for T20I series in March 2026

Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) will be hosting the Men’s National team of Lesotho for a five (5)-match T20 International series (with ICC T20I team ranking points) from March 09th – 15th, 2026 at the BCA oval in Gaborone. This will be the maiden bi-lateral series arrangement made between the two (2) cricket boards, with the teams having met only once in T20Is, during the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Sub-regional Qualifier in Rwanda in November 2022.

Both the teams will be in action during the Sub-regional qualifiers towards the 2028 edition of the T20 World Cup, and this series will begin their preparations towards it. Botswana Cricket are scheduled to host the Sub-regional qualifier in May/June 2026, while Lesotho Men will be in action in Sub-regional qualifier in Nigeria in October 2026.

Cricket Namibia to host Uganda Men for T20/OD series in March 2026

Cricket Namibia (CN) will be hosting the Men’s National team of Uganda for a multi-format, white-ball series, from March 16th – 26th, 2026 at the FNB Namibia cricket ground in Windhoek. This series continues the partnership between the two (2) cricket boards, which has seen bi-lateral series being played between the teams on an annual basis. This year’s series will comprise of three (3) T20 format matches and two (2) matches in the 50-overs format.

Uganda Men, who start their International season with this tour, have important ICC Global event qualification pathway tournaments, that includes the third (3rd) and final round of ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B in August 2026 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and the 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup through the Africa Sub-Regional Qualifiers in Nigeria in October 2026.

The T20 matches and one 50-overs match will be played between Uganda and Namibia A squad, while the senior team will play two (2) 50-overs matches with Uganda. Namibia Men will start their preparations towards the seventeenth (17th) round of ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 ODI Championship at home in April 2026.

Nigeria Cricket to host 2nd edition of West Africa Trophy in December 2025

Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) will be hosting the Men’s National teams of Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Zambia in the 2nd edition of West Africa Trophy (with ICC team ranking points) event from December 04th – 14th, 2025 at the NCF oval ground in Abuja. This tournament will mark the International return for Zambia Men’s team after their reinstatement as an ICC Associate member during the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), and will make their debut in the T20I format. The team, however, has already played in an International Quadrangular Tournament held in Kenya in June/July 2024, without official recognition for their matches.

Nigeria Men are the Defending Champions from the inaugural edition of West Africa Trophy held in October 2023, after winning the Final against Rwanda. Rwanda and Sierra Leone return back as recurring participants, while Zambia take the place of Ghana from the inaugural edition. All the teams will play against each other in a triple round-robin group stage format, before the top two (2) teams in the points table compete for the Title, and there will be a game for the 3rd/4th position play-off as well.

Canada Women to tour Uganda and Tanzania for bi-lateral series in October/November 2025

Cricket Canada Women’s National team will embark on their maiden overseas tour outside of the ICC Americas region in October 2025, as they are set to tour both Uganda and Tanzania for T20 International bi-lateral series (with ICC team ranking points). The team will tour Uganda from October 18th – 27th, 2025 for their series comprising of five (5) T20I matches, followed by tour of Tanzania for a similar five (5)-match series from October 27th – November 05th, 2025.

Uganda and Tanzania Women would only be the 4th and 5th team in International Cricket, against whom Canada Women would be playing in these two (2) bi-lateral series. Habeeba Bader, Director of Women’s Cricket at Cricket Canada “This tour is a key step in building a stronger foundation for women’s cricket in Canada. Our players have been working hard at the domestic level, and this is their chance to showcase that talent internationally. It’s also an inspiration to young girls across the country, who are watching and dreaming of wearing the maple leaf one day.”

For Uganda and Tanzania Women, this series will provide competitive game-time at home, before they both travel to Thailand in November 2025 for the ICC Women’s Emerging Nations Trophy.
