Argentina Cricket to host Canada Women for T20I series in July 2026

Cricket Argentina will be hosting the Women’s National team of Canada for a seven (7)-match T20 International series (with ICC T20I team ranking points) from July 29th – August 02nd, 2026, at the St George’s College Ground in Buenos Aires. This will be the maiden bi-lateral series arrangement done between the two (2) Cricket Boards, with all the previous six (6) matches played between the two (2) teams, taking place in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier competitions in 2021, 2023 and 2025.

The series will provide crucial preparation for Argentina Women, ahead of the South American Games at home in September 2026.

Cricket Colombia to host Men’s South American Championships in August 2026

Cricket Colombia will be hosting the twenty-first (21st) edition of the Men’s South American Championships from August 06th – 09th, 2026, at the Los Pinos Polo club grounds in Bogota. Men’s National Teams from Brazil, Panama, Mexico, Turks & Caicos Islands and Peru will be competing with the host’s for the Title, which is currently held by Mexico Team, who won the 20th edition last year in Brazil, against Panama in the Final. Cricket Colombia will be hosting the iconic Championships for the second (2nd) time, having hosted the event previously back in 2018.

Turks & Caicos Islands Men’s team will be making their debut in the tournament, and by the looks of the schedule available on ICC website, their matches will not be carrying any T20I team ranking points, alongwith any matches in the tournament, involving the hosts’ Colombia.

Once again, the most successful Team in the history of the Championships, Argentina, wouldn’t be taking part, which makes this the second (2nd) consecutive edition of the tournament, in which they are not competing. The reasons being unknown, but the Cricket Board is busy preparing for the organization of the sport in the South American Games in September 2026, along with South American Sports Organisation (ODESUR), Argentine Olympics Committee (COA), Government of Argentina and the Province of Santa Fe.

Costa Rica Cricket to host Chile Women for T20I series in April 2026

Costa Rica Cricket Federation will be hosting the Women’s National team of Chile for a three (3)-match T20 International series from April 24th – 26th, 2026 at the Cancha de Baseball ground in San Jose, for the 2026 Women’s Central American Championships (Campeonato Centroamericano). Chile Women will be returning back into International cricket after a gap of almost three (3) years, after their previous bi-lateral series with Argentina having taken place in October 2023.

If Chile Women do take part in the 2026 South American Games in Argentina in September, then this bi-lateral series will start their preparations towards it.

Cricket Mexico to host the 2026 Central American Championship in April

Cricket Mexico will be hosting the Men’s National teams of Costa Rica and Brazil in the eleventh (11th) edition of the Men’s Central American Championship at the Reforma Athletic club ground from April 02nd – 05th, 2026. This event will see the first-ever T20I game being played between the teams of Brazil and Costa Rica.

Costa Rica Men will be back in International action in almost a year, after their last assignment was at the previous edition (10th) of the Central American Championship held in Panama in April 2025. Brazil Men will be looking forward to this year’s competition, as the tournament will be helpful in them preparing towards the 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas Sub-regional qualifier A in Bermuda in June 2026.

With Cricket being part of South American Games 2026 in Argentina, which will act as the Qualifier for the Pan American Games 2027 in Peru, the Nations, who are currently not affiliated with International Cricket Council (ICC), are gearing up for their participation in the Games. Cricket Colombia will be hosting the Men’s National team of Aruba for a five (5)-match T20 International series (not eligible for any ICC rankings points, as non-members) from March 21st – 23rd, 2026.

South American Games Cricket to take place in September 2026

The XIII South American Games – officially the XIII Juegos Suramericanos Santa Fe 2026, will be held from September 12th – 26th, 2026, across Santa Fe, Rosario, and Rafaela in Argentina. Cricket will be making its debut among the 60 disciplines on the programme. All matches will be taking place Cricket will at the Club Atlético del Rosario ground in Rosario. It will be a massive moment for the sport in the South American region, as the long-running South American Championships since the late 2000’s, has been the only recognized event in the calendar for the ICC Associate Member countries in the region. With Cricket set to debut also at the Pan American Games in 2027 and Summer Olympics in 2028 in Los Angeles, the South American Games will act as a stepping stone for the growth of the sport in the region, among countries, who are not part of “West Indies” in International cricket.

South American Games will no longer act as a Qualifier for the Pan American Games in 2027, as was originally announced in the Games technical documentation. Cricket will have both Men’s and Women’s categories for Medals. Final number of confirmed participants will be announced in due course, with the Games having the provisions set in place for group stage formats, depending on the number of entries. For a five (5)-team event, the format will be a single round-robin group stage, with Top 3 taking home the medals. If the total number of participants is more than five (5), then the format would be Two (2) groups + classification matches (Final, 3rd place, 5th place).

Athletes must comply with ODESUR statutes, ICC eligibility rules, formally entered by their National Olympic Committee, and must hold nationality of the country they represent. Participating Nations at South American Games include Argentina (ICC Associate Member), Aruba, Bolivia, Brazil (ICC Associate Member), Chile (ICC Associate Member) , Colombia (ICC non-member who participates in South American Championships), Curaçao, Ecuador, Guyana (Member Board with Cricket West Indies), Panama (ICC Associate Member), Paraguay, Peru (ICC Associate Member), Suriname (ICC Associate Member), Uruguay (ICC non-member who participates in South American Championships) and Venezuela.

Men’s National Team of Brazil, Panama, Peru and Colombia will be playing competitive cricket before the Games, in the South American Championships 2026 tournament in Bogota in August.

Cricket Argentina to host the 127th edition of Men’s North vs South 3-day game in February 2026

Cricket Argentina will be hosting the historic 127th edition of the annual three (3)-day match between the select North and South teams (North vs South or Norte XI vs Sur XI) from February 14th – 16th, 2026 at the St Georges College ground in Quilmes. The History of the North vs South series dates back to 1891, when the inaugural match was held at Buenos Aires cricket club ground in Palermo, with the North team registering a 3-wicket win over their South counterparts.

Cayman Cricket to host 2nd edition of North American Cup in April 2026

Cayman Cricket will be hosting the second (2nd) edition of the North American Cup T20I tournament from April 04th – 12th, 2026. Men’s National teams of United States of America (USA), Canada, Bermuda and Bahamas will be competing alongside the host’s, with USA defending their Title win in the inaugural edition hosted by Cayman Cricket in April 2025. Similar to the tournament format played in the inaugural edition, all teams will play each other in a single round-robin group stage format, followed by the Semifinals and the FINAL.

The hosting rights for the next two (2) editions of the North American Cup has been taken up by Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB).

Cricket Argentina to host Brazil Men for T20I series in November 2025

Cricket Argentina will be hosting the Men’s National team of Brazil for a five (5)-match T20 International series (with ICC team ranking points) from November 28th – 30th, 2025 at the St Albans Club ground in Corimayo. Despite meeting in several occasions in T20 matches during South American Cricket Championships, the two (2) teams have played only two (2) T20Is till date with each other, during the 2019 edition of the South American Cricket Championships and 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Americas sub-regional qualifier in December 2024. Argentina Men, the most successful team in the Men’s SAC, however, did not participate in the 2025 edition the Championships in Brazil in October/November.

This will be the first bi-lateral T20I series between the two (2) teams, who are preparing for the sub-regional qualifier next year for 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Brazil Men will be travelling to Bermuda in June 2026 for their sub-regional qualifier, while Argentina Men will be travelling to Cayman Islands in March 2026 for their sub-regional qualifier.

Cricket Brazil to host Men’s/Women’s South American Cricket Championships 2025 in October/November

Cricket Brazil will be hosting the 2025 South American Cricket Championships (Men’s SACC – SAC and Women’s SACC – WSAC) from October 30th – November 02nd, 2025 at the Sao Fernando Polo and Cricket Club in Seropedica. The Men’s South American Championships (SACC 2025) will be the 20th edition of the iconic tournament in the region, while the Women’s WSAC will be the 15th edition of the tournament. Argentina Team have been the most successful team in the tournament’s history with 12 Title wins, with Chile and Mexico winning it twice and Panama Team being the Defending Champions from the 2024 edition, which was also hosted by Cricket Brazil.

Men’s National teams of Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Colombia will be joined by the MCC team (Marylebone Cricket Club) in the tournament. MCC team will be playing matches against Panama, Mexico and Peru, while the other participants will play each other in a single round-robin group stage format. The most notable absentee this year will be the Men’s Team of Argentina, who have won the Tournament a staggering twelve (12) times since its inception. The U19 and U15 Men’s/Boy’s and the U19 Women’s events were hosted by Cricket Argentina in September 2025.

The Women’s edition will see the Brazil and Argentina A teams play a three (3)-match series for the Title, while the MCC Women’s team will be playing two (2) matches each against Argentina A and Brazil after the completion of the WSAC event. Argentina Women have won the WSAC eight (8) times, while Brazil Women have been dominant in the last four (4) editions, having won the title six (6) times in total.
