International Cricket Council (ICC) have announced the schedule for Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in United Arab Emirates (after the originally scheduled host Bangladesh Cricket Board were engulfed in National political unrest in the country), will take place from October 03rd – 20th, with twenty-three (23) matches in total taking place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Group A will feature teams from Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka (Qualifier 1 from Global Qualifier), with matches taking place in Sylhet. Whilst Group B will comprise of teams from Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies and Scotland (Qualifier 2 from Global Qualifier) , with their matches taking place in Dhaka.
The top two (2) teams from Group A and Group B will qualify for the semi-finals after the conclusion of the single round-robin group stage format. As is the norm in ICC events, all the ten (10) teams will be playing two (2) official warm-up matches before the start of the tournament proper on 03rd October.
