Nepal U-19’s victory over India U-19 in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup can be termed as one of the biggest associate achievements in the U-19 age group cricket and India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, had nothing but praises of appreciation for the young gorkhali warriors.
As reported by SONY ESPN, Rahul Dravid went over to congratulate his counterpart, Binod Das and said that Nepal deserves this win than anyone else and they played better than any other team yesterday on the field.
“We are happy he acknowledges our effort. We are thrilled to have his support with us. This victory against India has come as a big boost.” DAS told ESPNCricinfo.
It is not often that Dravid showers his praise and yesterday’s victory over his team impressed him a lot.
Nepal U-19 did a huge favour to themselves by winning the match and staying not just alive but well placed to book a spot in the semi-finals from their group. Congratulatory notes on twitter were filled by Nepal cricket enthusiasts and national team players.
