Ireland announce squad for ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup

Cricket Ireland have announced the 15-member squad that will take part in the upcoming ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in Feb 2018 in New Zealand.

Ireland U-19 are pitted against U-19 teams from Afghanistan, Pakistan & Sri Lanka in the group stages of the tournament.

Ireland team will be playing 2 practice games against Auckland, before taking on England U-19 and Canada U-19 in the official World Cup warm-up games. Two of the squad members, Mark Donegan and Sam Murphy, have been playing local club cricket in Wangharei, the venue for their World Cup matches and their knowledge of the conditions will be vital to Irish chances of advancing from the group stage.
