Cricket Papua New Guinea (PNG) will be organizing both the Men’s and Women’s Isuzu T20 Smash tournament from June 30th – July 09th, 2023 at Amini Park cricket ground in Port Moresby. The tournament is closely watched by the National coaching staff as both Men’s and Women’s teams will be in qualifying action soon for T20 World Cup spots. PNG Men’s team will be playing in the East Asia-Pacific (EAP) Qualifier (Finals) in July 2023 at home against teams from Vanuatu, Japan and Philippines for 1 spot into the main event of Men’s T20 World Cup next year in USA and West Indies, while the Women’s team will be playing in the EAP Qualifiers in September this year in Vanuatu for 1 spot into the Global Qualifiers next year.
