Japan announce squad for 2018 East Asia Cup in Hong Kong

Japan Cricket Association (JCA) have announced the 14-member Men’s squad for the upcoming 2018 East Asia Cup, to be held in Hong Kong from Sep 13th – 15th, 2018 at Hong Kong Cricket Club, Kowloon Cricket Club and The Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground.

Shogo Kimura, former Baseball professional player is also selected in the squad which will take on Hong Kong Development XI, Hong Kong Dragons and China in the 4-team tournament, to be played in the T20 format.

The tournament provides crucial opportunity for China (Asia) and Japan (East Asia-Pacific), as they will be involved later in respective regional qualifiers for ICC World T20.

Japan’s Schedule in 2018 East Asia Cup (All timings local):

13th Sep 2018: Japan vs HK Dragons @Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground (1:30 pm)

14th Sep 2018: HK Development XI vs Japan @Hong Kong Cricket Club (9:30 am)

15th Sep 2018: Japan vs China @Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground (1:30 am)

16th Sep 2018 (Depending on Points Table standings): 3rd/4th Play-off @Kowloon Cricket Club (9:30 am) ; Final @Kowloon Cricket Club (1:30 pm)
