Japan set for ICC hosting debut in U19 EAP Division 1 qualifiers

Japan Cricket Association (JCA) will be hosting the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup East Asia-Pacific Division 1 qualifiers, to be held from 02nd – 09th Jun, 2019.

U19 team’s from Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Fiji and Samoa, along with the host’s will be competing in a single round-robin group stage format for one qualification spot from the EAP region into the main draw of 2020 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup, to be held in South Africa.

Papua New Guinea qualified from the EAP region for the 2018 U19 Cricket World Cup hosted by New Zealand. All matches in the qualifiers will be played in the 50-overs format with two matches held at two pitches at Sano International Cricket Grounds, starting at 10AM local time on each match-days. Jun 04th, 07th & 09th have been kept as reserve days in case of matches not being completed on scheduled dates due to weather interventions.
