Japan Cricket Association (JCA) have announced the core group of players, who will be part of the Men’s and Women’s squad representing the country in the 2022 International season. A total of nine (9) players have been confirmed for the Men’s core group, with the remaining picks to be finalized in May 2022 during the 3-day training camp scheduled around the Golden Week holidays, while the Women’s core group consists of twenty-four (24) players based in Japan, Australia and England.
JCA will also be announcing the line-up of International events (two minimum as told by the board) for the Men’s team in due course of time, while the Women’s East Asia Cup (originally signed for a multi-year event starting in 2021) will be on the radar to get a start this year.
