Rain spoilt Jersey player William Robertson’s chances of getting more game-time after the first day for Oxford MCCU against English County, Kent. However, the first day’s little play will still be much significant in his young career as he picked up his maiden first-class wicket.

The 3 overs he bowled remained the only significant note as the remainder of the two days were totally washed out due to rains.
Confirmed: Senior player and academy graduate @willro_98 makes his first class debut. Superb achievement. Go well Robbo! https://t.co/HduYLI78aV

Robertson managed to pick up the wicket of Alex Blake in a short spell of 3 overs before stumps were called at the end of 1st day’s play. Managing to bowl 3 overs and picking up the wicket will give him good confidence going forward.
And now he has his first FC wicket! Keep them coming Robbo. #topofoff https://t.co/h453AZlb9P
