Following a disappointing campaign in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers in UAE, Cricket Kenya have made good number of changes in the 14-member squad, that will take part in the first round of ICC CWC Challenge League tournament in Oman from Dec 02nd – 12th, 2019.

Kenya will be competing against Hong Kong, Jersey, Uganda, Bermuda and Italy in Group B of the Challenge League structure of 3 rounds of events across 2019-2021, at the conclusion of which, only the top team will advance to the Challenge League Qualifiers play-off tournament, which is the pathway towards qualification towards 2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.

A surprise inclusion in the squad is of 46-years old Lameck Onyango, who plays for Swamibapa Club in Kenya’s domestic circuit. Elijah Otieno, Nelson Odhiambo, Alex Obanda, Jasraj Kundi and Pushpak Kerai have been omitted from the squad, that played in the T20 World Cup Qualifiers.
