Kuwait Cricket Board have announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Asia “A” qualifiers for WorldT20 in 2020, which will be hosted by them from Apr 20th – 28th, 2018.
Kuwait will be competing against UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Maldives for three qualification spots into the Asian regional finals, to be held likely in 2019. Kuwait open their campaign on 20th Apr against Maldives and finish their group phase fixtures on 26th Apr against UAE.
Kashif Shareef will lead the Kuwait national team, which is being coached by ex-South Africa International, Herschelle Gibbs for the duration of the tournament. Players have been taking part in intense training sessions in the past few weeks to improve fitness and strength levels.
