Last minute injury and new additions shake up entire ICC World XI squad

Last minute changes due to injury and further additions of England players into the ICC World XI squad has shaken up the dynamics of the look of the squad currently. While Eoin Morgan has been forced to miss the match now with a fractured finger, Sam Billings has been added into the squad as his replacement.

ICC have also announced further additions in the squad with Tymal Mills and Sam Curren also drafted into the squad for the match against West Indies on 31st May 2018. England International, Adil Rashid, has also been added to the ICC World XI squad of 14-members, while fast bowler Mohammed Shami from India replaces Hardik Pandya for the T20 International at Lord’s.

All proceeds from the match will be going towards rebuilding and renovating five major venues (Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla, the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua, the Windsor Park Stadium in Dominica, the Carib Lumber Ball Park in St. Maarten & the Cancryn Cricket Grounds in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands) and other community cricket facilities that were damaged by Hurricanes, Irma and Maria.

The inclusion of Adil means that now ICC World XI have a line-up of 4 leg-spinners in their squad including Rashid Khan from Afghanistan, Shahid Afridi from Pakistan and Sandeep Lamichhane from Nepal. ICC World XI will be coached by former Zimbabwe player and England coach, Andy Flower.

The match will be aired live on the Sky Sports network via Sky Sports Main Event (17:30 pm), Sky Sports Mix (17:30 pm) & Sky Sports Cricket (17:30 pm).
