Malawi Men’s squad announced for ICC World T20 Africa qualifiers in Rwanda

Malawi Cricket Union (MCU) have announced the 15-member men’s national squad, which will take part in the 2022 ICC Men’s World T20 Africa sub-regional qualifiers taking place from October 15th – 23rd, 2021 in Rwanda.

Malawi will be competing against host’s RwandaLesotho, Ghana, Seychelles, Eswatini (Swaziland) & Uganda in the sub-regional qualifiers for the lone qualification spot into the Africa regional finals scheduled to take place in Rwanda in November 2021. Nigeria and Kenya are already part of the regional finals based on their final finishing positions in the T20 World Cup Qualifiers held in 2019 in UAE.

Most of the squad members played in the previous Africa sub-regional qualifiers held in 2018 and will be looking forward to having another crack at qualifying to the regional finals and go further beyond that.
