Malaysia President XI continue winning form against Hong Kong A

Another good team performance saw Malaysia’s President XI win their second consecutive match against Hong Kong “A” by a healthy margin of 69 runs.

Malaysia President XI, batting first again notched up 236/8 in their 50 overs and bowled out Hong Kong “A” for 167 in their 44th over to win the game.

Saifullah Malik continued his good form by scoring 64 runs while Shafiq Sharif contributed 55, opening the innings. Ghazanfar Mohammad was the pick of the bowlers for Hong Kong “A” with 4 wickets.

A 5-fer by Muhammad Fitri Sham derailed the HK “A” innings, while Abdul Rashid and Pavandeep Singh claimed two wickets apiece to blend good support to Fitri.

The matches being played as preparatory games towards Asia Cup Qualifiers, sees the teams play each other again on 16th Aug 2018 in the 3rd match of the series.
