Malaysia Women team to tour Sri Lanka to prepare for T20 World Cup Asia qualifiers

Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) National Women’s Cricket Team will be travelling to Sri Lanka from 8th to 16th November 2021, where they will be playing practice matches against teams from Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and the SLC Women’s Development Team to prepare for the ICC Women’s World T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier which is scheduled in Dubai, from 19th to 29th November 2021.

Malaysia Women team will be competing with the likes of United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Hong Kong, Bhutan and Kuwait for one qualification spot into the Global Qualifiers for the T20 World Cup in 2023. The squad members played practice games at home under strict bio-bubble arrangements in the month of October 2021 and the overseas tour will be their first outing since the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic globally.
