Netherlands pace bowler Paul Van Meekeren has been signed up by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots franchise for the upcoming 2021 edition of Caribbean Premier League. 2021 CPL will take place in St Kitts & Nevis, with all 33 matches being played at Warner Park from August 26th – September 15th.
Meekeren has been signed up for the franchise as the replacement for South Africa International Anrich Nortje. He joins the overseas professional quota for the team along with Ravi Bopara, Fawad Alam and Asif Ali, who replaced Wanindu Hasaranga, Rassie van der Dussen and Afghanistan player Rahmanullah Gurbaz respectively.
Meekeren is currently playing for Durham County in the English domestic season in the T20 Blast and Royal London One Day Cup tournaments. His last International game was during Scotland tour of Netherlands in May 2021 for ODI series, while his last T20I was during Nepal Tri-nation T20I series in April 2021.
