Asian Cricket Council (ACC) have announced that the Cricket Boards of Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Philippines are now the 28th, 29th and 30th Members of the Asian region, after Japan and Indonesia were granted membership last year. However, Philippines, like Japan and Indonesia, remain part of ICC East Asia-Pacific (EAP) region and will compete in ICC Global events qualification pathway tournaments from the EAP region.
