The bowling department for both Canada and USA are holding their own against seasoned domestic players in West Indies in the Regional Super50 tournament so far. However, these are still early days in the competition for both of them as Canada have played only two games so far in Group A and USA started their campaign with their first game in Group B.
Canada once again were under the pump as the opposition racked up 300+ again and their batting display was not too disappointing at all. In fact, their batters have put up some impressive scores so far in two high chases. USA, however, would be highly disappointed after restricting CCC Marooners to below 225.
Romesh Don continues his good run for Canada with a 3-wicket haul to go along with the 5-wicket haul from the first game against Windies B. USA’s Elmore Hutchinson picked up a 5-for in their first game against the Marooners. Monank Patel and Steven Taylor got amongst the runs and would have liked to stay for a little longer to take USA closer to their target.
Canada opener Rodrigo Thomas has got good starts in both the matches so far and the key will be to continue and try to get a 3-figure mark somewhere during the tournament.
