After the conclusion of 4th round of ICC Division 2 in Namibia, Kenya and Oman have crashed out of the running for the top 2 spots as the remaining four teams enter “Do-or-Die” zone, heading into the 5th round of matches.

Canada gave their almighty effort to topple host’s Namibia bit fell agonisingly close by only 17 runs, while Nepal and UAE notched up victories (which were no less than dramatic) and consolidated their positions in the points table.

Canada and UAE have good net run-rates heading into the final round of matches for them, while Namibia still have 2 more matches to go (The washed out tie against Kenya still to be replayed, how the weather has had its own share of fun).

Nepal survived another batting scare but the youngsters in the side stood up and managed to somehow win against Kenya to stay alive on virtue of points. Their net run-rate is still not on par with Canada and UAE, so their is no other option for them but to beat Canada to claim their spot in the World Cup Qualifiers.

Canada, if they win, they are through but even if they lose, they still stand a chance to scrape through based on their net run-rate. It all depends what happens in the UAE vs Namibia match.

A disappointment campaign for both Oman and Kenya, and all set for a stint now in WCL Division 3.
