Namibia bowling falters against England in U19 World Cup

Namibia U-19 team lost their 2nd group match in the ICC U-19 World Cup by 8 wickets against England U-19 at Queenstown.

Batting first, Namibia found it tough to get going as they could reach only 196 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs. Shaun Fouche (44 off 75) and Nicole Loftie-Eaton (36 off 39) were the top-scorers for Namibia with none of the other batters able to spend more time in the middle. Petrus Burger (22 off 18) provided some late hitting down the order.

Luke Hollman (3/41) was the pick of the bowlers for England U-19 with Tom Scriven (2/30) and Harry Brook (2/32) providing good support with the ball.

England openers, Savin Perera (26 off 31) & Tom Banton (21 off 23) gave a good start to the innings with a 51 runs partnership. Gerhard Lottering (2/33) dismissed both the openers within the space of two overs but that was the final scene of joy of Namibian players as Harry Brook (59 n.o off 48) & Will Jacks (73 n.o off 44) powered their way to victory with an unbeaten 130 runs partnership for the 3rd wicket in only 14.4 overs to reach 198/2 in 24.1 overs.
