Namibia vs South Africa T20I to mark International ground opening in Windhoek

Cricket Namibia (CN) will host the Men’s National team of South Africa for the first time ever at home on October 11th, 2025 at the FNB Namibia Cricket ground, which will mark it’s official opening, and is already scheduled to host matches during the upcoming ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2026 and the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027. The ground, with a capacity of 7000, is situated in the south of the capital city of Windhoek.

Cricket Namibia CEO Johan Muller “This truly is a memorable occasion. The new FNB NCG has been a dream for the last four years and has finally materialized. A match against our neighbor’s, and one of the top cricketing countries in the world, is the perfect way to open this world class facility.” The ground has already hosted the South Africa U19 Men’s team during their tour of Namibia in May 2025, and the Senior team will now get to play at the venue in October.
