Nepal chase Bangladesh for #10 spot in Jul 2019

International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the Global T20I team rankings for Men’s, which now features 12 Full members and 70 Associate members.

Like in the announced ODI rankings table, results from matches played in 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 period are taken into consideration at 50% weightage to assign the rankings. All teams will need to play six matches against other teams in the previous three to four years to remain in the rankings table.

Nepal are the highest ranked Associate T20I team in the updated rankings table. The National squad has the opportunity to close the gap with Bangladesh for the #10 spot in the rankings as they take on Malaysia in a 2-match T20I series, before competing in the Asia regional finals for T20 Men’s T20 World Cup in Singapore in Jul 2019.
