Nepal lose Blind World Cup opener against Pakistan

Pakistan defeated Nepal by 9 wickets in the second match of the ongoing Blind Cricket World Cup at Gujranwala’s Jinnah Stadium on 09th Jan 2018.

Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 258/5 in their 40 overs. In reply, Pakistan reached the target in 20th over for the loss of only one wicket to win their 2nd consecutive match after their victory over Bangladesh on 08th Jan 2018.

Nepal started off well with an opening partnership of 105 between Ramish Bahadur and Badri. However, Bahadur got out after scoring 54 and Badri also departed shortly after making 47. Khaimananda provided crucial runs towards the end remaining unbeaten on 30.

Badar Munir steered the chase with a brilliant knock of 145 runs and also took the man of the match award. Amir Ashfaq (46 n.o) and Mohsin Khan (74 off 47) were the other unbeaten batsmen for Pakistan.
