Nepal cricket team have suffered a huge setback prior to their crucial WCL matches against Hong Kong on October 13th & 15th.
Sharad Vesawkar has reportedly missed the team’s training session on Thursday morning due to high fever and has been resting at the Team’s hotel. Kathmandu Post has reported that he was already suffering from the illness when the team took the flight to Hong Kong on Tuesday.
In an event if he misses both the matches on Friday and Sunday, the team management might fly in a replacement at the last moment. However, there hasn’t been any notification as to who will replace him in the squad.
Sharad has been a prolific run scorer for Nepal in the WCL Championship win 321 runs from 10 matches, second only to skipper Paras Khadka (352 runs in 10 matches).
