Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) will be hosting the second (2nd) edition of Nepal Premier League T20 tournament (NPL T20) from 17th November 2025 – 13th December 2025, at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur (Kathmandu). The tournament will feature a single round-robin group stage format, involving the teams, namely Biratnagar Kings, Chitwan Rhinos, Janakpur Bolts (Defending Champions), Karnali Yaks, Kathmandu Gorkhas, Lumbini Lions, Pokhara Avengers, Sudurpaschim Royals. The knock-out stages will follow the group stage, with the Final scheduled to take place on 13th December 2025.
With CAN getting the ground ready with floodlights, NPL T20 will mark a historic moment in Nepal Cricket’s history with day-night matches taking place for the first time in the country, and will be a massive advantage in getting hosting rights for International tournaments (both ICC and Asian Cricket Council) in the coming future. Some of the major names in the Franchise T20 leagues globally have signed up with the teams and will help the league get more attention globally, and improve it’s case to be considered for List-A status from next year’s edition.
