Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) have announced that the Men’s National squad will be travelling to Vapi in Gujarat, India for a T20 tournament titled “Friendship Cup” from March 31st – April 07th, 2024. The team will be playing against Indian state teams of Gujarat and Baroda in a double round-robin group stage format, followed by the FINAL between the top two (2) team on 07th April 2024. The Nepali Men’s team are preparing for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the US and the Caribbean Islands in June this year, and during the last Asian Cricket Council (ACC) meeting held in Bali, Indonesia, the board officials of CAN and BCCI met and spoke about possible partnerships/collaborations in terms of allocation of practice facilities and fixtures for the Nepal team in India and this series marks the beginning of such agreement.
