Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) will be hosting the U19 Men’s National team of Afghanistan for a three (3)-match One-day series at Mulpani from April 03rd – 09th, 2025. With both Nepal U19 and Afghanistan U19 set to also compete in the subsequent 2026 ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Asia Division 1 Qualifier in Nepal from April 12th – 21st, this series will provide opportunity for both the teams to prepare for the crucial event, from which only the winner will advance to the main event next year. The previous meeting between the two (2) teams came during the 2024 Asian Cricket Council (ACC) U19 Men’s Asia Cup in UAE, where Nepal U19 were victorious.
ACB CEO Mr. Naseeb Khan “Nepal is a passionate cricketing nation that is rapidly rising in the region and has always posed tough challenges to its opponents. They have produced quality players who will represent their country well in the future. Playing Nepal in their home conditions is a considerable challenge, but our team has prepared well over the past few months. I am hopeful that, based on the training and preparation they received in the recent past, they will perform well in both events and make our country proud by securing a spot in the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup in 2026.”
