Nepal’s busy schedule begins from November 2017

The next 3-4 months will be a busy period in Nepali Cricket with lots of International and domestic competitions for both their senior Men’s team, U-19 team & the Women’s team.

The action begins from November when the U-19 team take part in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup from November 9th-20th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane will look to lead the team to victories against stronger opponents.

At the same time in Thailand, Nepal’s Women’s cricket team will participate in the Women’s World T20 Asian Qualifiers for a spot in the Global Qualifiers to be held in 2018 in Netherlands. Nepal will play the likes of UAE, Hong Kong & Thailand in a tough competition.

The action then shifts to UAE, where Nepal’s senior Men’s team will play 2 WCL Championship matches against UAE on December 6th & 8th. With both teams relegated to Division 2, they will look forward to some tough cricket before they meet again in Division 2 event in February 2018 in Namibia.

Focus then shifts to domestic competition as the Nepali players will take part in the 2nd edition of Everest Premier League (T20 event). With the event being televised live, it will be big opportunity for new and upcoming players to claim a stake for promotion to senior teams in 2018.

The trend doesn’t end there with another domestic T20 tournament, Dhangadhi Premier League, to be staged in February 2018 before Nepal sets out for the most important tournament of the calender to Namibia for ICC WCL Division 2.

Nepal will be joined by UAE, Namibia, Oman, Canada and one more team from WCL Championship to constitute the 6 team event to decide the final 2 spots for World Cup Qualifiers.
