Netherlands A Team defended their Title from 2017 in the 2018 Continental T20 Cup, held at Excelsior’20 ground in Sciedam from 29th – 30th Jun, 2018.
Netherlands A, Austria, Belgium and a collegiate Team from South Africa took part in the tournament. Netherlands A beat Austria in the finals while Belgium defeated South Africa’s Team to finish third in the competition.
In the final, Netherlands A posted 159/9 batting first and then restricted Austria to 136/9 in their 20 overs to win the match by 23 runs.
The tournament provides further preparations to Austria and Belgium, ahead of their participation in ICC World T20 European qualifiers in Aug/Sep 2018 in Netherlands.
