Cricket Ireland have announced that the Wolves (A) squad will be competing against their touring Dutch counterparts in a 3-match one-day series in May 2021.
The series was given the go ahead by Ireland’s sports authority, which allows the Netherlands squad to be exempted from mandatory quarantine due to COVID-19 pandemic situation. The three matches will be played in the 50-overs format and the venue will be announced shortly.
The series will provide opportunity for some senior players from both the countries to get some game-time in the middle, as Netherlands will host Ireland senior squad for their 3-match ODI Super League series in June 2021.
