Netherlands Cricket Board (KNCB) have included 2 uncapped players in their 14-member squad for the upcoming final round of ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Namibia from Nov 29th – Dec 2nd in UAE.
Netherlands are currently in 3rd place with 59 points in the I-Cup standings whereas Namibia are lying in the last place (8th) with 27 points. Netherlands will be fighting against Scotland, Papua New Guinea, Hong Kong and UAE to finish 3rd at the end of the championship.
Namibia have made a good start to their campaign in the CSA Sunfoil 3-day tournament and will be pushing to win against a higher ranked opponent in the I-Cup standings.
With Afghanistan and Ireland leaving the I-Cup competition from the next cycle onwards, it needs to be seen how ICC will reward the champions in the future editions of the I-Cup Championship.
