Netherlands managed to secure a victory on their tour of Zimbabwe as they beat the Select XI side by 5 wickets in the final match of the 3 match series. The series was however, already lost after Zimbabwe Select XI won the first two games.
Netherlands bowled Select XI for a paltry 129 in 30.3 overs and then chased down the target reaching 134/5 in 30.3 overs.
Only Malcolm Waller (37 off 38) & Sikandar Raza (42 off 50) stood among the ruins as none of the others could provide any major contributions towards the team total.
Paul van Meekeren (3/21), Vivian Kingma (2/27), Q Gunning (2/27) & Michael Rippon (2/34) capped off a perfect bowling display for the Dutch.
Netherlands lost 5 wickets in the chase with Ben Cooper (44 off 66) & Peter Borren (48 n.o off 49) doing the bulk of the scoring for the Dutch.
Mpofu, Tiripano, Sikandar Raza & Solomon Mire picked up a wicket apiece for the Zimbabweans.
A well played series ending with Zimbabwe Select XI winning the series 2-1. Netherlands now travel to South Africa to play their 2 WCL matches against Kenya.
