The 3rd edition of RUSLAN Dhangadhi Premier League is back and will be held from Feb 09th – 26th, 2018 at the newly proposed Fapla International Stadium. Dhangadhi Cricket Academy has held the previous two editions at the SSP grounds.
With the prize money of three million rupees to the winners of the 2019 Ruslan Dhangadhi Premier League, the tournament is now the biggest cricket event in terms of prize money in Nepal. Dhangadhi Stars, Biratnagar Kings, Rupandehi Challengers, Mahendranagar United, CYC Attariya and Kathmandu Goldens are the six competing teams in the tournament.
Teams will play against each other in the single round-robin league round, after which the top four will make it to the playoffs. Top two will fight in Qualifier1 for a place in the final, while other two will play the eliminator. The winners of eliminator will face the losing team of Qualifier1 to decide the second team in final. The final is slated for Feb 26th.
South African cricket legend Jonty Rhodes has been appointed as goodwill ambassador for the third edition of upcoming Dhangadhi Premier League.
