Northern Queens take charge in Malaysian Super Women League

Northern Queens secured their 2nd consecutive win in the Malaysian Super Women League to go on top of the points table after the conclusion of the 2nd day of action at Kinrara Oval. Eastern Lioness registered their first win of the tournament as well, as they beat Southern Jaguars by D/L method in the 2nd game of the day.

Thailand’s Thipatcha Putthawong and Manatsawee Jatho were instrumental with the ball for Northern Queens, as both took 5 wickets between them to restrict Central Super Girls to below 100. Although Northern Queens lost a flurry of wickets in their chase, but a 56-runs partnership for the 3rd wicket between Winnifred Duraisingam and Adelaide Campion was good enough to take them closer to the target and reach there in the 19th over.
